this collection are 50 examples from 30 important contemporary printmakers.  Many of the artists, such as Woody Crumbo, T.C. Cannon, R.C. Gorman, Fritz Scholder, Allan Houser, and Amando Pena are well known personalities who have enjoyed wide commercial success, and who have helped establish a bold and influential style referred to as "new west".  In addition, each of the artists has a highly recognizable personal style, often expressive of tribal backgrounds and experiences.  While the subject matter in these prints is based on Native American Traditions, the works range from realistic and figurative to highly abstracted styles.
