With one of the best records in the Texas League, the Midland
Rockhounds have taken the Lone Star State by storm. Nearly 300-thousand
fans packed the Scharbauer Sports Complex last year to catch all
the action of midland baseball. The Midland Rockhounds have the
best standings among Oakland Athletics Double A affiliates. Midland's
First American Bank Ballpark has received several awards including
being named "2003 Baseball Field of the Year" by the
Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA).
In addition to action-packed baseball, the Rockhounds stadium
has also been transformed into a staging ground for concerts,
bike races, community events and more. High School baseball playoffs
also face off at First America Bank Ballpark for even more Midland
baseball excitement.
