Museum of the Southwest
Indulge
in a dose of culture inside Midland's Museum of the Southwest.
Through focused collections and diverse exhibits, the history,
art and culture of the American Southwest is presented along side
exhibits of national and international significance. From the
famous Taos Society of Artists to special shows featuring the
works of Picasso or Rembrandt, there is always something new to
see and do each time you visit.
The
Museum is a welcoming place for people of all ages and interests.
Whether it's a student art show, an exhibit from the collection,
or nationally acclaimed display, each work of art is presented
with the goal of educating, entertaining and inspiring the public.
The
Museum complex also includes a Planetarium as well as a Children's
Museum. Enjoy a guided tour of the night sky and browse unique
exhibits on astronomy and space science. Let your child experience
the many interactive play areas at the Children's Museum. The
lush surrounding grounds and sculpture garden is also a popular
place for outdoor concerts. Relax under a shady tree or lounge
in a lawn chair, while enjoying an array of diverse musical entertainment.
