MABEE AQUATIC CENTER

Home of the City of Midland Aquatics' competitive swimming and
diving teams. The facility has two competitive pools for
swimming and diving and three multi-purpose pools. Main
pool includes 8 lanes and a full Olympic diving venue. Other
amenities include a weight room, exercise room, locker rooms,
and full swim and SCUBA shop.
MIDLAND POLO CLUB
5505 Polo Club Road (432) 683-2272 Fast-paced action on freshly
cut grass is the hallmark of the Midland Polo Club. Spectators
are charged a nominal fee (by the carload) for games, but practice
sessions are free. Fans can either sit alongside the grassy field
in the grandstands, or on the tailgates of their vehicles. Area
teams compete in the spring and summer with world-class players
often featured. Call the Midland Polo Club office for current
match times and other special events.
MIDLAND ROCKHOUNDS BASEBALL

been the home of Double-A Texas League baseball since 1972.
Midland has seen some great players dawn the Midland uniform.
Players include Joe Carter, Bruce Sutter, Fernando Valenzuela,
and more recently, Troy Glaus, Adam Piatt, and Tim Hudson.
The RockHounds are now the affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
The season runs April - August. Call for ticket and game

ODESSA
JACKALOPES HOCKEY Ector County

552-7825 The Jackalopes are a member of the CHL and are affiliated
with the Edmonton Oilers and the Hamilton Bulldogs. They were the
2001-2002 CHL Governors' Cup Champion.. Season runs from October -
March.
PUTT PUTT FUN CENTER
3415 N. Loop 250 West (432) 520-3993 Entertainment for children
of all ages. Putt Putt Golf & Games offers a great variety
of family excitement. Thirty-six holes of theme styled miniature
golf, go-cart track and races, batting cages, laser tag, acrade
room with 50 video games, pizza and refreshments. Six acres of
action packed fun and games. Open everyday all year long.
SCHARBAUER SPORTS COMPLEX
The Scharbauer Sports Complex made its debut in March 2002 with
the grand opening of the First American Bank Ballpark followed by
the opening of the Grande Communications Stadium in August. The
complex features
top facilities for football, soccer, and baseball. The $35
million complex, in addition to hosting some of the top athletes
in West Texas, will also be the new home of the Midland
RockHounds.
The football / soccer facility will be able to seat 18,000 and
the baseball stadium will hold 6,000 spectators.
