The Midland CVB offers customized tour itineraries based on the special interests and time frame of your group.  Whether you’re interested in a sampling of Midland’s many museums and attractions, our western heritage, local agriculture and manufacturing, or our economic mainstay (the petroleum industry), our staff will develop the perfect itinerary for you.

 
Summer 1 Night & 2 Days Itinerary

Day 1
· Arrival with CVB welcome reception
· Rest
· Depart for dinner 
· Susie's South Forty Confections with barbecue and line dancing lessons

Day 2
· Breakfast at the hotel
· Check out of hotel
· Depart for the Museum of the Southwest complex
· Tour the Museum of the Southwest and enjoy the exhibits of art and  
  archeology. Then stroll across the manicured grounds of this mansion to 
  the Haley Library for a lesson in Texas history.
· Depart for the Petroleum Museum
· Tour the Petroleum Museum and experience the Basin's turbulent past 
  through interactive exhibits. Take a break for lunch in the auditorium 
  (where you can rest your feet). After lunch you can explore antique drilling 
  equipment including an authentic drilling platform.
· Depart for the American Airpower Heritage Museum and Confederate 
  Airforce International Headquarters
· Explore the Museum and CAF
· Depart for next destination


Summer 2 Nights & 3 Days Itinerary
Day 1

· Susie's South Forty Confections with barbecue dinner and line dancing

Day 2

· Tour the Museum of the Southwest and enjoy the exhibits of art and 
  archeology. Then stroll across the manicured grounds of this mansion to 
  the Haley Library for a lesson in Texas history.
· Depart for the Petroleum Museum
· Tour the Petroleum Museum and experience the Basin's turbulent past 
  through interactive exhibits. Take a break for lunch in the auditorium 
  (where you can rest your feet). After lunch you can explore antique drilling 
  equipment including an authentic drilling platform.
· Travel to the hotel 
· Rest and relaxation
· Depart for dinner and entertainment
· Enjoy a Texas steak dinner at the Cattle Baron Steakhouse
· Depart for the historic Yucca Theatre
· Throw popcorn and enjoy sidesplitting laughter during the Olio of Summer 
  Mummers melodrama mayhem.

Day 3 
· Breakfast at the hotel
· Check out of hotel
· Depart for Midessa Porcelain Doll Shop
· Shop and tour Midessa Porcelain Doll Shop
· Travel to the American Airpower Heritage Museum and Confederate Air 
  Force International Headquarters
· Tour Museum and CAF
· Enjoy a mess hall lunch in the Officers Club of the Confederate Air Force
· Depart for next destination



Summer 3 Nights & 4 Days Itinerary
Day 1

· Arrive in Midland and check into hotel
· Depart for Scarborough-Linebery House
· Enjoy a picnic lunch in the beautiful backyard of this Historical Texas 
  Medallion Home with a tour of the interior
· Depart for Museum of the Southwest
· Stroll through the manicured grounds of the Museum complex to the Haley 
  Library for a lesson in Texas history. When you've had your fill of 
  academia, walk to the Museum of the Southwest and enjoy the exhibits of 
  art and archeology displayed in this historical mansion.
· Low tea and crumpets served in the Mansion
· Depart for the hotel
· Rest
· Depart for the ballpark
· Hotdogs, peanuts, popcorn anyone? Feast at the all you can eat dinner in 
  the picnic area of Christensen Stadium as Midland RockHounds 
  Professional Baseball game begins. Finish the game in the grandstands.
· Return to the hotel

Day 2
· Breakfast at the hotel
· Depart for the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum
· Tour the Petroleum Museum and experience the Basin's turbulent past 
  through interactive exhibits. While exploring the grounds you will find 
  antique drilling equipment dating back to the early 1900's.
· Depart for lunch
· Enjoy West Texas barbecue straight from the grill at K.D.'s served on 
  butcher paper with all the fixins.
· Depart to Sibley Nature Center
· Enjoy nature trails and examine wildlife habitats at this West Texas center 
  for environmental education.
· Depart for shopping
· Purchase Mexican imports at Way Out West Trading Post.
· Travel to Centennial Plaza for a Mexican Fiesta with dinner catered by 
  Gerarrdo's Casita, a Midland tradition. Entertainment includes Ballet 
  Folklorico and Mariachis. Learn to dance the Cumbia.

Day 3
· Breakfast at the hotel
· Depart for the American Airpower Heritage Museum and Confederate Air 
  Force International Headquarters
· Tour the Museum and CAF
· 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Enjoy a mess hall lunch in the Officers Club of the 
  Confederate Air Force
· Browse the gift shop at the American Airpower Heritage Museum
· Depart for Susie's South Forty Confections
· Afternoon dessert at Susie's South Forty Confections and a tour of her 
  world famous candy factory
· Depart for shopping or rest at your hotel
· Depart for dinner and entertainment
· Enjoy a Texas steak dinner at the Cattle Baron's Steakhouse
· Depart for the historic Yucca Theatre
