Experience the drama of the airpower flight for freedom
as well as viewing vintage aircraft. This museum is recognized
for its collection of authentic World War II artifacts and
memorabilia. The adjacent hangar houses a rotating exhibit
of antique aircraft. $4 per adult (group tour rate). Receptions
or catered dinners can be arranged in the museum or CAF
hangar.

Learn about western exploration, early railroads, and the
development of ranching, mining, petroleum and politics
as they relate to Texas and Southwestern history while browsing
among this collection of more than 30,000 volumes. This
Library, in the Museum District, contains one of the most
extensive collections in the world of the Lincoln County
War and Billy the Kid. No admission charge. Receptions can
be arranged.
MARIAN BLAKEMORE PLANETARIUM

Located in the Museum District, the planetarium offers sky
shows run monthly with star viewing in the adjoining park.
Private shows available. Learn about astronomy, constellations,
galaxies and black holes. $2 per adult.

The site of this Museum is posted in the National Registry
of Historic Places. Stroll among collections of art and
archaeology from the American Southwest and get a glimpse
of Midland's early life inside this Historic Mansion.

THE PERMIAN BASIN PETROLEUM MUSEUM

Search for black gold in this interactive museum with life-sized
murals, ancient artifacts, and colorful memorabilia. The
Basin's turbulent past comes alive through an ancient sea,
Boomtown and nitroglycerin explosion. The Museum
features the nation's largest collection of Tom Lovell paintings
and antique drilling equipment. $3.50 per adult (group rate).

1972. Franchised by the Oakland Athletics, the Midland RockHounds
playing season begins in April and continues through August.

Built in 1907, this Historical Medallion Home is open by
appointment. The interior of the house remains as it was
when occupied by Kara and W.F. Scarborough. Guests can simply
tour the home or enjoy luncheons, dinner parties, receptions

Visit this unique nature center geared toward educating
children about the animals and plants native to West Texas.
Experience a light hike down nature trails, and examine
wildlife habitats. The center can customize programs to
suit different educational needs and studies. Call in advance

at the historic Yucca Theatre. The Summer Mummers, the oldest
existing organization of its kind, produces a melodrama
that is a unique theatrical experience. Bash the bad guy

Olio. Shows run early June through Labor Day. $4 - $12 per
